
Summary: | National Library of Scotland Centenary – Joe Marshall Teams Talk 20/01/25 Do you want to find out what’s going on at George IV Bridge as the NLS reaches its 100th year? St Andrew’s University libraries and museums will be hosting an online talk from Joe Marshall, Director of Collections Management at the National Library of Scotland on Thursday 20 January, 11am, via Teams The talk will be about the work of the National Library of Scotland and its future direction as they approach their Centenary in 2025. It will give an overview of the history and collections of the Library, as well as exploring how technology, environmental change and user expectations are changing the way they operate. Joe trained as a rare books librarian at the National Library of Scotland and Edinburgh University Library, becoming Head of Special Collections at EUL in 2014. In 2019 he returned to NLS as Director of Collections Management with responsibility for conservation, cataloguing, acquisitions, storage, logistics and digital preservation. |
