Summary: Towards a National Collection was an £18.9 million programme to take the first steps towards creating a unified virtual ‘national collection’ by dissolving barriers between different museums, archives, libraries and gallery collections with the aim of opening them up to new research opportunities and encouraging the public to explore them in new ways. Sean Rippington (Head of Archives and Rare Books) will share the findings and recommendations of the programme, focusing on the 'Towards Digital Collections' training event.
