Summary: The lecture, entitled 'Passion for Ignorance', was delivered by renowned Slovenian philosopher, sociologist and legal theorist Professor Renata Salecl. An international expert on psychoanalysis and law, Professor Salecl, who is based at the University of Ljubljana’s Institute of Criminology is a visiting professor at both the London School of Economics and Birkbeck, University of London. In her Magnusson Fellowship Lecture Professor Selecl discussed why in her view we are turning a blind eye towards economic inequality, ecological catastrophes and personal wellbeing. The lecture was followed by a question and answer session.
