Optimising Study
and Effective Notetaking

The notes you make during lectures are among the most important of the resources you build up during your studies. However, many people just take notes, and this is not nearly as valuable as making notes. Many people hear but they don’t actively listen.

Login to GCU Learn and look for the organisation called Prepare for Success. After watching the introductory video for Week Two, select the Launch Activity button and select Optimising Studying. Actively listen to the short presentation “Prepare for Study”. Actively listen to the short presentation “Optimising your Study Sessions”. Download the resources provided in the study helicopter to make a Weekly Revision Plan.
