Prepare for Success

Newsletter - Final Week 6

You are now prepared for success

Over the last 6 weeks your induction was extended and you were given a range of resources to help you to become a more efficient independent learner. This is the final week of our extended induction. Congratulations on getting to the half way point of the trimester.

Last week we looked at mindset and self-reflection. If you are in level 2 or upwards in a BEng, MEng or BSc degree (first year students do not have formal exams in their first trimester) or if you are studying for an MSc you will have formal examinations in May. It is time to turn our attention to exams.

The second set of activities is on exam preparation. Watch the video and summarise the important points in your Prepare for Success Workbook.

Remaining Teaching Weeks

For the remaining teaching weeks we would encourage you to return to earlier parts of the workbook and also to explore the additional resources for ongoing self-improvement as a learner. These include goal setting and improving your memory.
Look out for new resources in Week 8 to help you to improve your sleep and link this to better learning.
